Internet History
In the Early 1960’s, a scientist named J.C.R. Licklider, who was working with M.I.T and ARPA (Advanced Researched Projects Agency), came up with an idea of computers talking to each other. In 1965, another scientist came up with a way for computers to do so. By1969, ARPA sent its first computer to computer message. Although that message crashed the network, it proved that this new form of communication had un tapped potential. In 1991, a Swiss programmer named Tim Berners-Lee introduced the World Wide Web. This was not just a way to send files from one computer to another, but for its users to access to files and information on the internet. https://www.history.com/topics/inventions/invention-of-the-internet

Methods of Communication
The we communicate today, has drastically changed over the years. From writing letters to sending texts, technology has improved the way we communicate in various ways. Social networking has allowed us to connect with prospecting clients and business partners so much easier. It connects people from around the world that we otherwise would not have met. Email allows us to compose messages to an individual person or a group of people almost instantly. Wikis and blogs, such as this one, allows people to communicate or discus certain ideas and thoughts on an open forum. Podcasts and webcasts are like Wikis and blogs; however, the can be audio or video. Streaming media is a way for video or audio file to be sent over the internet and being watched by a user without having to wait for it to download. This allows for faster communication.
E-Commerce and M-Commerce
With today’s technology, buying things over the internet or on your mobile device couldn’t be easier. At the touch of a button you could have a whole new kitchen, and you didn’t leave your house. While buying things online can make things easier, it can be the down fall of brick and mortar stores. But one must adapt right? I tend to think that some outside activity is good for the body and the soul.
